Congratulations to Senator Vin Gopal on yet another successful piece of signed legislation aimed at easing the financial hardships of small restaurant owners brought about by the onset of the pandemic!

On December 30th, 2020, Governor Phil Murphy signed bill S2597 into law on which Senator Vin Gopal was the first primary sponsor. This new piece of legislation will extend the time period during which seasonal retail consumption license holders are permitted to sell alcoholic beverages. This will hopefully help small restaurant owners recover some lost revenue resulting from the inability of these businesses from making sufficient revenue during the past summer months; months that have historically provided a major source of profit prior to the pandemic.
